Dear Dancers and Parents,

I want to just let everyone know that my staff and I dearly miss our dancers.  Never in my wildest dreams could I ever have imagined this could happen like it has.  But, it has, and we have to help each other get through this as best as we know how and create a "new" normal for our students so they can get back to dancing.

Currently, we are getting set up to begin teaching "zoom" classes within the next 7 to 10 days.  The new class schedule will be posted on our website on the schedule page, and watch your email for specific class times and adjusted cost for the last month ending our season.

I will soon have a PayPal setup on the website for those of you that wish to utilize it for payments for the "zoom" classes, in addition to any outstanding class tuition/costume balances.  You may still mail in checks to the studio address:

It saddens me to announce that we are cancelling our recital.  We arrived at this difficult decision based upon "state" safety guidelines on social gathering sizes and "safe distancing" practices.  In addition, the Claremore PAC has cancelled all of their summer programs.  Ultimately, we felt with all of the extenuating safety concerns, it would be in the best interests for our students, staff, parents and grandparents that we cancel this event.  This is driven totally by our safety concerns for all of these individuals.  This is the toughest decision I have ever had to make and it breaks my heart.

I still have costumes arriving and will be announcing a time later in May to drop by the studio to pick up.  At this point, there will be no class photos based upon the same safety guidelines.

It is so important to keep moving and not lose all the advancement in your dance technique you have accomplished this season.

I look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces in the very near future and learning how to do this new normal together for awhile.  These planned zoom classes will finish out our current season and I will be sending out information on summer classes and when we will start the new season back in the studio together.

Love to all,

Miss Dana

Our Mission

Heather's Dance School was founded in 1972 by Heather Caruthers, and has been owned and operated by Dana Burnett since 2000.  Dana has been teaching the art of dance since 1985.  The staff at Heather's firmly believe success is measured differently for each student.  It may be freedom of movement, expressing self-confidence, manners and kindness to those around them, or performing before a crowded auditorium.  Whatever the motivation; encouragement, warmth, and generosity are given to all students.

We hope to teach them that dance is an art that they can learn to enrich their lives and the lives around them.  Dance class will be a growing experience and a fun time.  We thank you for loaning your children to us this year.
